Landscape sketches

pen and ink drawing of water breaking on shore

Happy Friday everyone.
Here are a few landscape studies to break up the monotony of the portraits. The first is a pen and ink sketch on paper (9 x 12 inches). The next one is a quick pen sketch from one of my sketchbooks. And the last one (oil on paper, 12 x 16 inches) is more of a seascape done in a limited palette of yellow ochre, burnt and raw umber (blue wash underneath peeking through). Might be strange to paint the water in the earth colors but I like the way it turned out.
