Crazy November!

I realize I haven’t posted in a while so my apologies! It has been a time of transition and upheavel the last several weeks. I am in the middle of moving my art studio and my residence. They were in two separate locations but now my studio will be in my new home (this will save me money and travel time… although I will miss my studio mates). I haven’t had time to do any art due to most of my time going to organizing the two moves. I think there are few things I hate more than moving – possible a root canal or getting trapped in an elevator! I will need another week or two to get settled and organized before I can get back to regular art-making and posting. I can’t wait for things to get back to “normal”.

In addition, I’ve been summoned for jury duty and am right now, sitting in the court house in the jury lounge going through the preliminary stage. It’s just one of those months where everything happens at once!

  1. Oh Anne, I hear you about hating moving!!! I do, too! At the fish hatchery where we live and moved to in Jan. 2001, there was only a two-bedroom house available. But then about ten months later a three-bedroom came open next door! So we had to move again that soon, because we have two kids who couldn’t share a room their whole lives (a boy and girl). It was crazy!! I empathize with you. And jury duty? Ugh. I hate the waiting to see if I’ll be called or picked. Hang in there. I have missed your posts, but I know everyone understands. Take care. 🙂

    • Thank you, Patsy! So you understand my pain, lol! At least it’s just myself and my two cats. But I am a bit of a collector (I find so many things interesting as subjects or inspiration for drawing and painting). I’m not at the A&E hoarder level but it’s still too much stuff to deal with. It’s all my own fault. I fantasize about getting rid of everything and living as a monk in the mountains, free of the burden of THINGS! Oh, well. Take care, I will post as soon as my brain doesn’t feel so scrambled. 🙂

      • You’re welcome, Anne! You crack me up! 🙂 I have done a little bit of collecting of subjects, too! I had the skull and butterfly and leaf for months before I actually sat and drew them! So I understand. Well, at least you don’t have little kids to pack for, too!! When we moved, our kids were 2 and 4 both times! And they had a lot of stuff. Blogging is rather time-consuming I am finding out as far as taking pictures of stuff and posting it. So you take your time getting settled. But I’ve enjoyed making friends like you on WordPress, so I love blogging. Dare I say, have fun?? 🙂
